Originally from Mykolaiv, Ukraine, Oksana now lives in Glasgow.
She graduated from Music College with a distinction in ‘Choral Conducting’ and then went on to study Classical and Opera singing achieving a Master’s degree and a PG diploma.
Oksana has been conducting in Scotland since 2010 and is the deputy conductor of Glasgow Male Philharmonic Choir and principal conductor of the Lesmahagow Male Voice Choir. She has She is looking forward to her first season working with the Eastwood Choral Society.
As well as a conductor, Oksana is a performing soprano in her own right. Oksana sings regularly as a soloist and has performed around Britain. Her most recent appearances include St. John of Waterloo, London and St. Mary’s Cathedral in Edinburgh

From a very early age Oksana was passionately interested in music and persuaded her parents to send her to the local Music School and then Music College where she graduated with distinction in ‘Choral Conducting’. She then furthered her studies with Prof. L. Stefanova at the Sofia Music Academy in Bulgaria years (1997- 2002) and received a Bachelors and a Master degree. During her time in Sofia she took part in a large number of concerts and performances and won prizes in Academic and National competitions. She was a winner of Academic and National competitions as well as a laureate of the National Operetta Competition, Mimi Balkanska' held in Sofia. In 2000 she was awarded the 'George Soros Scholarship' for her outstanding study.

After graduating with ‘high achievement’ she decided to continue her education and moved to Germany to study under Prof. M. Schiml (2004-2006) at the Musikhochschule, Opernschule, Karlsruhe. While studying there she attended master classes with L. Bizzi and H. Zadek.

Prior to completing her studies in Germany, she participated in a number of concerts and sang Belisa in the Paseíllo Opera 'Il re Teodoro in Venezia' performed in Karlsruhe Operahaus.

In 2008 she completed a PG diploma in opera singing in the RSAMD under Patricia Hay.

Since 2010 Oksana is Deputy Conductor of Glasgow male Philharmonic Choir.
From 2012 till 2013 Oksana was conductor of National Museum Staff Choir, Edinburgh.

Since 2012 till present Oksana is conductor of Lesmahagow Male Voice Choir, the choir sings regularly at different venues including at the Lanarkshire Male Voice Choir Festival, Hamilton  McMillan fundraising concert in Hamilton and in 2014 had concert at Lent Fest in Glasgow.

Recently Oksana become conductor of Eastwood Choral Society and she is looking forward work with the choir and perform concert with them in December.

As conductor Oksana has several appearances as a guest conductor at Mass Choir in Glasgow, Royal Concert Hall and Lanarkshire Male Voice Choir Festival, Hamilton, Town Hall. As soloist Oksana sings regularly and can be heard in different places in Britain. Her most recent appearances include St. John of Waterloo, London and St. Mary’s Cathedral in Edinburgh. Oksana also took part in Grace Schwindt musical radio play ‘Little birds and Demon’ that was transmitted  on few radio station including  the Art Radio in London.
